Terms of Service

1. The service
Forecents is a personal finance application that displays your linked financial account data and produces budgets, spending insights, and cash-flow forecasts. Account connections are provided through Plaid; Forecents never receives or stores your bank credentials.
2. Not financial advice
Forecents provides informational tools only. Forecasts, "safe to spend" figures, and other insights are estimates based on your own transaction history — they are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and they can be wrong. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and be at least 18 years old. You may only link financial accounts that you own or are authorized to access. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Beta service
Forecents is currently offered as a beta. The service may change, be interrupted, or contain errors, and features may be added or removed without notice. Beta access is free; if paid plans are introduced later, you will be clearly informed before being charged anything.
5. Your data
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how it's used and protected. In short: your data is displayed only to you, never sold, and you can disconnect institutions or delete your account and data at any time.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to access other users' data, probing or disrupting the service's security, reverse engineering, or using the service for unlawful purposes. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forecents LLC's total liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $50 or the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the accuracy of data supplied by financial institutions or Plaid.
8. Termination
You may stop using Forecents and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, with data handled per the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the date above and, where appropriate, notified in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA. Questions: support@forecents.com.
