What Forecents is

Forecents is a personal finance application that helps you see your money in real time: balances, transactions, recurring bills, and cash-flow forecasts. It connects to your financial accounts through Plaid, a regulated data network used by thousands of financial apps.

What data we collect

When you link a financial account, we receive — through Plaid, with your explicit consent — your account balances, transaction history (dates, amounts, merchant names, categories), and basic account details (account name, type, and masked account number). We never see or store your bank username or password; those are provided directly to Plaid or to your bank.

How we use it

Your financial data is used for exactly one purpose: showing you your own finances — budgets, forecasts, alerts, and spending insights inside the app.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We do not use it for advertising.

How it's protected

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Credentials that grant access to financial data are encrypted at rest. Data is stored on access-controlled servers and is not shared with any analytics or advertising services.

Your control

You can unlink a financial institution at any time from within the app, which deletes its data from Forecents and revokes access through Plaid. You can also manage or revoke Plaid connections at my.plaid.com. You can download a complete copy of your data (Security → Download my data) and permanently delete your account and everything in it (Security → Delete my account) at any time, directly in the app — deletion disconnects every linked bank, cancels any subscription, and destroys all data we hold about you.

Service providers

Plaid connects your financial accounts; their collection and use of your information is governed by their End User Privacy Policy.

Stripe processes subscription payments; your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by their Privacy Policy. We share with Stripe only what billing requires: your email address.

These are the only third parties that receive any of your information, and both receive only what their function requires.
